OPERATIONS MANAGER (Sussex, WI)

The Avire US team is looking for a highly driven, operations professional intent on bringing a fresh perspective to a rapidly growing organization to position us for success in the future. Your challenge is to continually evaluate our current production flow, optimize our processes reducing waste, seek autonomous solutions to drive cost reductions, and develop a talented group of employees in production, shipping, supply chain, and production management
What will you be doing?
As the Operations Manager you will lead the production, operations and supply chain team within the site, enabling all departments to work together to create a successful, organized, and efficient business. Including, budgeting and forecasting with the operational and financial deliverable for the site.
Production/Shipping
Your responsibility is to ensure that the company's overall goals, objectives, and mission are carried out through daily operations and team interactions. Core duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Develop, in partnership with the Vice President of Global Manufacturing strategic operational goals that align with the company’s vision and implementing effective measure to achieve those goals
- Evaluate and optimize our current production processes to continually improved productivity and follow lean techniques.
- Lead & manage the team on the continual lean journey to reduce nonvalue added processes and improve communication across the department
- Work across all departments and key stakeholders in forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual operational sales outputs to stakeholders.
- Lead Kaizen initiatives to drive a continuous improvement mindset within the organization to Improve productivity and cost down initiatives.
- Manage CAPEX budget as we build for the future factory to deliver our Growth strategy and a state-of-the-art facility.
- Work with Production team to identify non-sustainable product lines for rationalization to increase overall profit and reduce Operational waste
- Lead, coach and mentor talent, facilitating career progression and development
- Build out standard work process to ensure consistency of product output and repeatable training plans to maintain a skilled work force
- Partner with Global Quality Manager to ensure first time quality, corrective actions and alignment with QMS.
- Lead our Environmental commitment and our Scope 1,2,3 Projects to reduce our carbon footprint while working with the EHS lead in Czech.
Supply Chain
- Work with strategic sourcing to identify the best inventory strategy moving forward to support an average of 20% growth YOY, while maintaining cost position and reducing overall inventory levels.
- Implement an automated Inventory system that delivers a management system that supports our Production & Sales team requirements
- Manage pipeline of strategic cost down opportunities targeting 5%+ saving opportunity of cost savings projects annually
- Navigate global logistics challenges & disruptions to ensure product availability to the Production team to achieve 98% plus OTD.
- Implement innovative supply chain strategies that align with our Strategy & Vision

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, production management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years in an Operational Manufacturing management role.
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive employee management experience.
- P&L experience & Commercial acumen required
- Experience in lean manufacturing, KPI deployment, and visual workplace management
- Experience with production flow methodologies, specifically cellular manufacturing, and single piece flow
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels
